Mark David Pearlman, MD

Biography

Dr. Mark Pearlman is a 1984 graduate of the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. After completing a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, and a fellowship in infectious diseases at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, he joined the faculty at the University of Michigan in 1990. Dr. Pearlman currently serves as vice chair and service chief in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He also holds an appointment as professor in the Department of Surgery and is associate chief of clinical affairs for the University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers. Dr. Pearlman has been on the surgical staff of the Breast Care Center since 1990 with particular expertise in the management of women with increased genetic risks for breast and ovarian cancer as well as the management of benign breast disease.
