Filip Bednar MD

Surgical Oncology

Filip Bednar, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Ann Arbor VA Hospital, effective August 1, 2016. Dr. Bednar received his MD and PhD degrees from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine, Temple University in Philadelphia. During Dr. Bednar’s general surgery resident training at the University of Michigan, he completed a two-year organogenesis fellowship and research fellowship with Dr. Diane Simeone and Dr. Marina Pasca di Magliano serving as his mentors. Dr. Bednar will be positioned to continue this work in pancreatic cancer research and is joining us after his recent completion of the Surgical Oncology Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh.
